West Coast Bike Ride

The much-loved tradition of West Coast bike ride is back!

The ride in 2024 will be based in Albany, Oregon, and we will enjoy 4 days of loop rides in the beautiful Willamette River Valley, returning to Albany each evening. All skill levels of bike riders, children, and eBikes are welcome.

Fundraising Focus: Fighting Hunger in Chad

The funds we raise from this ride will go toward a three-year project (beginning in 2023) aimed at strengthening farm communities in five areas of Moundou, Chad. With your support, local partner groups will offer guidance and assistance to help people farm sustainably, diversify income, attain food sufficiency, protect the environment and better connect with local markets. Our goal is that at least half of the $500 registration fees will go towards this project.

Location:

We will be based at the Mennonite Village, Albany, OR, in the Pavilion, where we will eat our morning and evening meals. Bikers who are tenting will set up in the yard around the Pavilion and have access to restrooms and electricity. The Mennonite Village has many areas to park RVs/Campers for dry camping. We are working with Mennonite Village residents to make available a number of their guest rooms for bikers for the week. Additionally, Albany has various hotels.

Routes:

We are developing 4 days of loop rides in the surrounding Willamette Valley. Each day a short and long ride option will be available to accommodate cyclists of all abilities, with a common lunch spot. A sag vehicle and bike mechanic will be available.
